We’ve had a nice break in Bilbao – our pension is in the old town, which is nice but very noisy! We walked to the Guggenheim in the rain yesterday, with a much nicer walk back along the river in the afternoon. Great bars and restaurants around so we are stuffed again – not sure we aren’t gaining weight despite the hikes!
We couldn’t make any sense of the Spanish postal system so we are carrying on with our packs at their current weight – next big town is Santander so perhaps we can work out something by then! Apparently the toughest section is behind us so maybe we don’t need to ditch anything – we’ll see how the next couple of days go!
