Figeac is a very pretty town, the largest we’ve had for a rest day since Le Puy. It grew up around an abbey built in the 9th century and has examples of buildings from the 12th and 13th centuries and then 17th and 18th centuries – in between apparently the town fell on hard times!

We had a very relaxing day, Latin’s breakfast, a look around the town (we bought a map with a walking tour set out on it but it was very difficult to follow!), then a bit of a boozy lunch and a sleep!

We just went out for some supplies for tomorrow – we plan to get away a lot earlier to beat the heat! Next up a few beers and dinner🍺🍽🍷
