Today is the last of our two day/three night sojourn tucked in the north west corner of Mount’s Bay with only a little walk each day, which has allowed us both to recover a bit, although Alison is still suffering from her cold.

We’ll be in the bay for another three days, working south east until we turn another corner at the Lizard and head north to Falmouth. At this stage, the forecast looks good – the last few days have been sensational which has definitely added to the great experience we’ve had around Penzance.

Only a short walk today, the main highlights of which were the view of the bay and St Michael’s Mount, which we visited once the tide dropped. We’ve got a great hotel right at the mainland end of the causeway, so looking forward to lovely views this evening over drinks and dinner!

Great morning view of Penzance from our bedroom window!
Leaving the only hotel I’ve ever known to run out of beer (and wine)! Lovely hotel with great staff but obviously not spending enough to keep the bar stocked!
Our walk was on tarmac the whole way, mostly on a sort of an esplanade. This is the view looking back, left to right, at Mousehole, Newlyn and Penzance
And forward from the same spot to Marazion and St Michael’s Mount. The sun is very low in the sky to the south, so it always looks like early morning or late afternoon!
