Augusta

Well, we’re in Augusta ready to start our second Cape to Cape tomorrow! It seems like we’ve been preparing forever, transferring gear backwards and forwards between City Beach and Mandurah trying to be ready with all our gear in case of a snap lockdown in Perth/ Peel. Not much training this time for a variety of reasons but I think we are otherwise well prepared, much more so than our first walk in 2014.

We took two days to get here from Mandurah this time, again getting out of Perth/Peel in case of a snap lockdown. A leisurely lunch yesterday at Wise Vineyard, followed by a bit of reconnoitring around Yallingup, where we got lost last time, and a relaxing evening at Bunker Bay, where we will return to in seven walking days! We had a pretty relaxing morning but got a bit stressed when the bus to Augusta was over 30 minutes late…

Anyway, we’re here now and ready to walk – let’s hope the weather is kind!
